Print Museums

There are a wide range of print museums dotted around the country providing an account of the fascinating history of this medium of art. This art form is actually almost 1800 years old and was started on blocks of wood in China. In modern times it is used to sell extra copies of works art. For example individual pieces of Bob Dylan’s art are sold across the world in prints that are signed by the artist himslef and collected by fans who can buy them from commercial galleries.

There are also a huge range of print galleries across the UK showcasing the works of famous artists such as David Hockney, Jack Vettriano and Banksy, whose works are captured in print form.
